Currently when you search for an article in Bolt, the app looks through the entire search index for your content, meaning the user could see results from last week, or last year.
We do currently support the option (with additional configuration) to filter by taxonomies in your content such as contributors and sections, but not date.
Adding the option to filter by date would make it easier for your users to find more relevant content.
